Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before specifying 16" Retrofit Conduit Cable for VERSAFLEX Commercial Downlight into a lighting project.
Does this cable replace the need to rewire the ceiling junction box?+
Yes. The commercial downlight conduit cable connects to the existing junction box and routes wiring to the new fixture. The ceiling wiring stays as-is. It is the cable that makes a clean retrofit possible without additional electrical work above the ceiling.
Where is this commonly used?+
The LED retrofit conduit accessory works well in offices, retail stores, healthcare facilities, schools, and commercial renovation projects.
What if the distance from the junction box to the fixture is more than 16 inches?+
The 16 inch retrofit conduit cable is sized for standard commercial retrofit depth. If the ceiling construction in your project requires more reach, contact the Beyond LED Technology team before ordering to confirm the right solution for that application.
Is one cable sufficient per fixture?+
Yes. One LED retrofit conduit 16in covers one Versaflex fixture installation. Order one cable per downlight being retrofitted on the project.
Can this be used for new construction installations?+
This cable is designed for retrofit use, where an existing junction box is already in place. For new construction, the Versaflex downlight has its own integral junction box and does not require this cable as part of the standard installation.
